In an effort to enhance the grammatical prowess,literacy and education of Public Primary School Pupils in Kosofe Local under the Leadership of Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe today through its commendable educational initiative has undertaken the Distribution of Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionaries pupils under its jurisdiction in recognition of the critical role strong vocabulary and language skills play in a child’s academic and personal development.

In the keynote address of the Council Mayor who was ably represented by the Vice Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Mr. Sosanya Oluwole, he emphasized the aim of the distribution program, which is to provide Primary Achool Students in Kosofe with personal dictionaries. This effort is part of a broader educational enhancement strategy by the council area which seeks to improve literacy rates and academic performance among young learners. The Chairman advised the students to make judicious use of the dictionaries and not to keep them unused.

In the same development,the Council Manager, Mr. Olanrewaju Fatai Olalere who gave the welcome address reiterated the need to help them expand their vocabulary, which is foundational for all other learning, and empowers students to look up words independently, fostering a habit of self-learning and curiosity.

The list of schools that benefitted from the Local Government Area that benefitted include Anglican Nursery and Primary School, Anthony Model Nursery and Primary School, Araromi Nursery and Primary School, Ayeroju Nursery and Primary School, Emmanuel Nursery and Primary School, G.R.A Nursery and Primary School, Ifako Nursery and Primary School, Kiniun-Ifa Nursery and Primary School, Local Government Nursery and Primary School, Maryland Nursery and Primary School, Mosafejo Nursery and Primary School, Muslim Mission Nursery and Primary School, Ogudu Nursery and Primary School, Ojota Nursery and Primary School, Oke-Ifako Nursery and Primary School, Oworonsoki Nursery and Primary School, St. Agnes Nursery and Primary School, and St. Francis Nursery and Primary School.

The vote of thanks was made on behalf of the schools by Mr. Salami Olaide, a Non-Academic Staff Member of Anglican Primary School, and Nwata Peter of Ayeroju Nursery and Primary School, who appreciated the Local Government on behalf of other students.
