
In a bid to promote professionalism, improve efficiency and enhance productivity of Staffers of Kosofe Local Government, the Council today organised capacity trainings for both the Junior and Senior Officers of the council area.
The comprehensive training organized for Junior staff members focused
on Work Ethics, Workplace Relationship and Fixed mindset.
The Head of Admin. and Human Resource, Mr. Odesanya Micheal who declared the first session open on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe stated that the workshop is not only aimed at ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks by staff to aid work inputs, it emphasized on the need for staff to embrace the rare opportunity and improve on interpersonal as well as work related relationships in other to meet up with council’s targeted goals.
The session also addressed Driving Safety for council Drivers and was facilitated by DCRMA, Ajibola, a representative of the Federal Road Safety Corps. He tutored concerned staff on road safety, with emphasis on the importance of complying with traffic regulations, adhering strictly to designated speed limits and road signs to reduce accidents.
The second phase of the training titled the Rudiments of Public Service rules, Administrative Guidelines and Financial Regulations for officers on Grade Level 8 to 12 and facilitated by Mr. Bakare Ayilola Raimi delved into the relevance of the three most important documents aforementioned and their roles in achieving a workable, efficient workforce, staff commitment to assigned duties, and general workplace ethics.
Mr. Bakare actively engaged participants, promoting deeper understanding of the service documents and its application to daily workplace engagements.
Attendees ,however, gained valuable insights into key aspects of the PSR, including recruitment processes, career progression, general professional conduct and much more.
These trainings underscore the Local Government’s commitment to continuous capacity building and institutional development, with the ultimate goal of enhancing effective service delivery.
Staff members expressed appreciation for the initiative while acknowledging its potential to improve their performance and contribute to the council’s overall productivity.
