….NURTW, Stakeholders in Kosofe Canvass Votes for his Re-election

In his speech at the APC Kosofe Mega Rally, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe has attributed his ability to deliver unprecedented infrastructural development in Kosofe to the increased revenue the council receives from the Federal Government.
Newsconnect reports that Moyosore didn’t just reel out what he was able to achieve as Chairman of Kosofe in the last four years, he showed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu whose reform helped him to make impacts in the lives of residents in Kosofe.

“Today, as we gather at Emmanuel High School Road for this momentous APC Kosofe Mega Rally, I stand before you not just as your Executive Chairman, but as a proud testament to the transformative power of purposeful leadership at every level of governance in our great nation.
“When President Bola Ahmed Tinubu took the courageous decision to remove fuel subsidies, declaring that this reform would “free up budgetary resources for critical investments in infrastructure and social services,” many questioned the wisdom of such bold action.

“Yet, as we witness today, this decision has saved Nigeria over 1 trillion naira ($1.32 billion) and terminated the multiple foreign exchange systems that had constituted “a noose around the economic jugular of our nation.”
“Here in Kosofe, we have been direct beneficiaries of this presidential vision. The increased government revenues which more than doubled, have enabled us to achieve unprecedented infrastructure development in our local government.

“Under our administration, we have constructed and rehabilitated 42 roads across our seven wards, from Oworonshoki to Ogudu.
“This mirrors the vision of our Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who has consistently demonstrated his commitment to infrastructure development.
“Just last year, Governor Sanwo-Olu supported the fixing of 459 roads across Lagos State, whilst unveiling 36 new roads and six bridges, including the Alapere Pedestrian Bridge right here in Kosofe.
“Also, we have distributed eight brand new 500kva Electricity transformers and paid for them to be energised, 7 different communities and a market benefited from this.
“The synergy between federal, state, and local government initiatives has never been more evident. Governor Sanwo-Olu’s ability to foster collaboration with the federal government has leveraged support for critical projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Sokoto-Badagry Expressway.
“Similarly, our local government has benefited from this collaborative approach, enabling us to complete 30 drainage projects and construct four culverts across our communities.
“President Tinubu’s vision extends beyond infrastructure to human capital development. His administration’s focus on education, healthcare, and social welfare has inspired our local initiatives.
“We have distributed about 6000 free GCE and JAMB e-pins, constructed a storey building of 10 classrooms and administrative offices at Mosafejo Nursery and Primary School, supplied 4,000 dictionaries to our public primary schools, distributed free notebooks, and just last week, we launched the distribution of learning aid materials like whiteboards, markers, packs of biro, pencil, rulers, erasers and mathematical set for all public primary schools in Kosofe.
“In healthcare, we have commissioned a new Primary Health Care Centre in collaboration with Access Bank, maintained a 24 hours primary healthcare services, procured a brand new ambulance, subsidised common drugs, and conducted comprehensive eye screenings with medication and glasses for 2,900 residents.
“Our mobile health clinics have treated over 2,000 elderly citizens quarterly, embodying the federal government’s commitment to inclusive healthcare delivery.
“The economic policies of President Tinubu have created a conducive environment for local economic growth. As the President reiterated, though painful in the short term, the removal of fuel subsidy was designed to free up budgetary resources for critical investments in infrastructure and social services.
“This philosophy has guided our approach to governance in Kosofe”. He said
