At the 4th annual Thanksgiving service organised by the Chairperson of Ikorodu Local Government in conjunction with the council, the wife of the Executive Chairman Ikorodu Local Government Mrs Bolanle Adesina posited that Thanksgiving is a way of life, hence, she is pleased to return the glory to God who made it easy for her husband to return elected for the second term and deliver his mandate for the people.

Omobolanle in conjunction with Ikorodu LG dubbed the theme for 2025 Thanksgiving service ‘Complete Praise’.
In an interview with journalists at the event, she said;
“It is a spiritual thing, I can remember vividly that during the election time of my husband in 2019, i told God to use his power to reelect my husband, and God almighty did it for me.
“I promised God that I would raise another thanksgiving for him, which is what am doing now and I have been doing it since inception of my husband administration and I will continue to thank him.
“He is our creator. He is all in all”. She said
Omobolanle on behalf of her husband presented cash not less than ten thousand naira to Widows, single mothers and elderly women in the spirit of thanksgiving.
She advised the beneficiaries of today’s Intervention to emulate the act of thanksgiving.
“If you can give thanks to almighty, God almighty will do more. In any ramification of life, give thanks. It shall be well with all of us”. She concluded.
The Executive Chairman Ikorodu Local Government Honourable Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina corroborated his wife when addressing journalists at the event.
Adesina said;
“Today we are giving thanks to God for what he has done in our lives. I want to appreciate God almighty for his protection, on my family, on me and Ikorodu as a whole.
“We thank God. This is a yearly program, even after my tenure in office, we will still continue to give thanks to almighty.
“Today is a special day to reciprocate what God has done in our lives, I have given out four pilgrims forms to Jerusalem. They will go to Jerusalem and even thank God on my behalf”. He said
The Executive Vice-Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government Hon. Dr. Princess Folashade Olabanji Oba in an interview with journalists at the event said being able to give back always is what really gladdens her heart. Folashade said; “We are not just talkers we are doers, together we build this great community to the envy of the world.
“To God almighty be the all glory, that greater Ikorodu is rising”. She said
Aarebirin Honourable Dr Folashade Olabanji Oba is also the National Chairman Association of Local Governments Vice Chairman of Nigeria.
The media aide to Senator Tokunbo Abiru Mr Enitan Olukotun while speaking to journalists at the event on behalf of the Senator said ;
“We are here because Ikorodu Local Government is one of the local government under the coverage of the senator so that is why we are here to identify with the leadership of this council and to celebrate this Year’s Thanksgiving.
“In everything, we should thank God. We understand what has been happening in the country. The happenings is not peculiar to here alone. Every country is undergoing economic challenges . We should give thanks to God and I think that is exactly what the council Chairman has used today’s occasion to showcase.
“We want to explore beneficiaries to make judicious use of what they had been given. We are proud of Adesina led administration for his plans for his people at different times. We are here to identify with them particularly during this hard time.
“We are so proud of him, we congratulate the beneficiaries and it is our hope that they will make judicious use of what had been given”. He said.
One of the pilgrimage beneficiaries to Jerusalem Pastor Femi Gilbert told journalists after the announcement of the good news to travel to Jerusalem how he feels. He said;
“I am delighted and i am happy. I give glory, honor back to God almighty. It is just grace and mercy.
“God will continue to honor the Chairman and continue to bless him. God will guide him, give him wisdom and understanding and by his grace, he will go to the next level of his life”. He prayed.
