If you see something, say something. This has become a cliche, many pundits and political analyst say to charge Nigerians to be patriotic towards achieving the Nigeria of their dream.
Considering how challenging Nigerian economy is, I feel by now, many people should be willing to say something when they see something regardless of whose ox is gored, since government can’t be everywhere .
In the past, we have seen the guilty vindicated simply because there was no evidence for indictment. In some cases, evidences are skewed to serve alterior motives.
We have seen a lot of human rights abuses to innocent personalities, deliberate witch-hunt to certain persons, groups with no alibi in this country. People who are bold to report these immoralities in some parlance are tagged ‘informant’, treated like a traitor rather than a saviour .
The awareness of this injustice scares humongous part of non-partisan members of the public to continue to expose corruption. Will they say something when they see something?
In my own opinion they, can, with the advent of technology. Embrace tech and manage the risk involved when exposing corruption.
