The Honorable Minister for Police Affairs (state), Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim fsi CIPD MSPSP FDMSS f.hcd fpi hosted a significant TownHall Engagement in Strengthening Policing in Nigeria at the Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall, Government House, Lafia, Nasarawa State.

She underscored the importance of understanding local security dynamics and unveiled a series of nationwide Townhall activities aimed at addressing community-specific challenges like immigration, urbanization, and resource control.

The centerpiece of this transformation is the Renewed Hope Police Reform Project, structured around six strategic pillars: technological advancement, infrastructure enhancement, officer welfare, policy framework development, citizen engagement, and community collaboration.

She also highlighted Nasarawa State’s unique security landscape, which includes diverse and rapidly growing communities, significant mineral deposits, and proximity to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Furthermore, She commended the state for its resilience and effective security measures, positioning Nasarawa as a model for other regions.

In conclusion she expressed her gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and His Excellency Engr Abdullahi A. Sule for their contributions to security advancements. She also lauded the Inspector General of Police for his dedication to the Renewed Hope Police Vision.

Reaffirming her commitment to these reforms, she called for collective participation in devising solutions to the challenges facing the Nigeria Police Force, emphasinh the need for a world-class police force deeply connected to the communities it serves and invited stakeholders to contribute to redefining policing in Nigeria.
