An aggrieved Bet9ja customer has accused Bet9ja for locking cashout completely on a bet he placed on Sunday, depriving him of winning millions of naira.
Newsconnect reports that on Sunday 20th of October 2024, one Ogunfile Ayoola had placed 10,000 naira on a 417.27 odd in order to win 5,841,809.12.
Ayoola said he was glued to his laptop looking out for cashout which never came until one of the last two games at 10p.m eventually spoilt the booking ticket.
He said he wouldn’t have been pained if Bet9ja had given him cashout but refused to cashout, and then the game spoiled. He said in his case, Bet9ja completely locked cashout when majority of his high risk odds have come.
In his words,
“I am pained because the risk was high and despite that Bet9ja at no time didn’t bring cashout. When my ticket remained just 5 games to end, I refreshed and refreshed, no cashout, it was locked. I was ready to accept whatever amount given to me.
“When the game remained just two to be played an hour later, I still didn’t get any cashout. I wondered why so.
“Sometimes cashout is offered to give customers who is winning options. In this case I wasn’t given any option, as if Bet9ja deliberately knew one of the last two games would spoil my ticket.
“This is not the first time one game is spoiling my chances of winning, what sucks is that the risk this time is high , and the amount Bet9ja prevented me from winning due the cashout lock is high.
“The effort I put when selecting my odds is usually high. Putting 10,000 naira on 417.27 odd implies I trust my selections. However, I am now demoralized by Bet9ja for locking cashout, they have also discouraged me to be painstaking when selecting odds and to play on their platform.
“I think this is not fair to me, how can fraud like this be checked in sport betting going forward ? Who will check it ? What will be done if they are culpable ?
“Perhaps convincing response to these questions will motivate me again”. He said.
