The Collage of LYNX Entertainment logo, and Embattled Ronica and Her Godson John Boateng when things haven’t gone awry.
Having being devastated with the outcome of her investment in building a soccer field for a government school in Ghana, the Co-Founder and the Executive Director of a Non-Governmental Organization Ronica McDowell Foundation Ronica has publicly called out Ghana Police and Lynx Entertainment for refusing to investigate the allegation levied against a Ghanian Police officer John Boateng.
Newsconnect reports that Ronica a black American having registered her complaints with regards to her displeasure from her event in October 26 2024 with Lynx entertainment at a Ghanian Police station publicly came out to pronounce that Ghana Police is corrupt for not taking the right action towards investigating her allegations levied against LYNX entertainment and a police officer.
This medium gathered that in the year 2022, Ronica had returned to Ghana for a Media Tour. During this period, an issue with some men took her to Odokor Police Station in Ghana where he met an officer called John Boateng who took her complaint against her accusers. Ronica had expressed in her statement what brought her to Ghana in black and white. This includes her service to Africa every 6 months.
A business relationship later developed between Ronica and Officer John Boateng. The duo registered her foundation in their names and a proposal was suggested to be sent to LYNX Entertainment to raise money for a government school towards building a soccer field.
In an interview with Newsconnect correspondence and Ronica x-raying the weighty allegation,
Ronika said;
“Lynx entertainment having read our proposal explicitly stated that they don’t have money but they granted us to choose any artist of our choice, that they will support with the artist. We chosed Maya Blu.
“In essence the plan was for me to return back to states, book artist and gain support to have this event in Ghana. I set the event date for October 26, 2024. Promoted a year up till the event with no support or media attention from Lynx Entertainment.
“September 4, 2024 i arrived in Ghana. On the 6th of September I was taken to circle market by Selorm Doh. who I got to know through Officer John Boateng. He was to assist to get my phone unlocked so i can access MTN service.
“My Cash app was connected to our GoFundMe. They silenced the cash app, and was making online purchases to the tune of 400 dollars. I discovered this about a month after unlocking my phone to use MTN service.
“Arrest was made of two men that was identified by myself and Selorm Doh. Arrest made by NIMA Police department accompanied by circle police department.
“Although my money was recovered, however, they said they had kept the money on false information communicated to them by Selorm Doh.
“TV, Radio and art work promotion was excellent on my part. A week before the event, LYNX entertainment reached out that I should cancel Maya Blu, the artist we picked, the artist that i had been promoting for almost a year since they gave the go ahead. That I should replace her with DSLMUSIC AND KASAR.
“This is not easy, i have to do a new artwork with sudden changes. Removing Maya-Blu from the flyer, setting up a website to set up for tickets by Officer John Boateng, I don’t know if any ticket was sold.
“The DJ was paid excessive amount of cedis and no one came to the event. Not one person, I was devastated.
“Having being devastated, I reached out to URSULA OWUSU FOUNDATION in Ghana for support. A volunteer Enoch , was provided to assist me to unearth the whole travail. We found out more revelations concerning the appearance of the artist. Officer Boateng scammed me with LYNX entertainment. There was no official proposal by LYNX entertainment in developing the dilemma.
“This is what was communicated to us by lynx road manager when we visited but l was never notified of this so now Enoch is looking at me saying get John on the phone, and when we called him he asked why didn’t he communicate that to me.
“And then at that moment we knew what was up it’s then Enoch became concern about my safety. I was asked not to share my next move with John. Being a cop, Enoch said it should have been handled smoothly.
“On the day of the event the artist announced he is coming to my event 3:00pm, the event was to start by 8:pm. LYNX employees played games or conspired with John.
“Now the police too haven’t followed up since the invitation. He told the investigator officer not one ticket was sold. If not one ticket was sold why did he collect money for a DJ. And John stated he left around 10:OO pm.
“With all the evidence that was presented to the department they didn’t arrest him and it’s been a month l have been here and yet they haven’t reached out.
“John is the key culprit and once he’s brought out the ship sinks”. Ronica shared.
Newsconnect reached out to Officer John Boateng and a contact from Lynx Entertainment to establish balance to the story hitherto, John’s only response was “Good Morning” He is yet to share his on side of the story ditto Lynx Entertainment. However, there are audio clips of John Boateng seeking apology from Ronica. Ronica had flee for her safety , she has been threatened not to put the issue in the public domain, now that it is viral, her safety and security is of utmost importance.
