
The lawmaker representative Ikorodu Constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly Honourable Aro Moshood Abiodun fondly called (AMA) presented financial assistance to vulnerable groups in the community.
The lawmaker supported 135 individuals, including 115 elderly citizens aged 65 and above, and 15 people living with disabilities, with each beneficiary receiving ₦100,000, at the Constituency Stakeholders’ Meeting.
The Theme was dubbed“Governance in Action – The Gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda”.
This intervention is a testament of Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun’s commitment to improving the lives of his constituents and providing support to those in need.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the lawmaker for the gesture.
In his address, Hon. AMA highlighted the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration at the national level, citing economic reforms, security improvements, infrastructure development, and human capital growth.
He emphasized that his reforms have boosted investor confidence, diversified the economy, and improved credit ratings.
The lawmaker also emphasized the progress made by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration in Lagos State, including modern transportation systems, sustainable housing, and urban renewal initiatives. Pledged to continue working tirelessly for the betterment of Ikorodu Constituency 2.
Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, a member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), highlighted AMA’s great work in empowerment and projects. He urged beneficiaries to make good use of the empowerment programs and commended AMA for his good representation and feedback on his work.
Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, another GAC member, emphasized the need for totally free education in Lagos State, citing the inadequacy of the current tax system. He also raised concerns about students’ lack of access to computers for practice ahead of JAMB exams. Furthermore, he clamored for a salary increment for traditional rulers, stressing the importance of respecting these institutions.
Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya testified to AMA’s effective representation at the Lagos State House of Assembly. He recounted how AMA provided educational materials to students at Ibelefun Secondary School in Ibeshe and promised to commence a new primary school project in Ibeshe within three months. AMA responded by asking the community to provide land for the school and promising to start the project within three months.
Oba Richard Ogunsanya, the Olubeshe of Ibeshe Kingdom, praised AMA for his tremendous work in just two years, citing his ability to get things done with respect. He appreciated AMA’s passion for his people and his efforts in facilitating various projects.
Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, expressed pride in AMA’s wonderful representation. He specifically mentioned the Ignogbo road to Ginti, the dump site at Ginti road that the former Governor had picked to be used for generating electricity, and commended AMA for his efforts in road construction and healthcare benefits for residents.
Oba Ajibade Agoro Ranodu of Imota, has expressed his profound appreciation for AMA’s remarkable contributions to Ikorodu Constituency. Describing AMA as a true son of the soil, the monarch noted that his works are not only noticeable but also visible, reflecting his dedication to the welfare and progress of the community. While acknowledging the rich legacy of each community that makes up the constituency, Ranodu emphasized the importance of unity among the communities, urging them to come together in pursuit of collective growth and development.
Dr. Nurudeen Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, applaud AMA for his outstanding representation, citing numerous developmental projects facilitated by him. These projects include roads, transformers, and water initiatives that have positively impacted the community.
Hon. Nurudeen Saka Solaja the immediate past Lagos Assembly Member, Ikorodu Constituency II restated the essence of the stakeholders’ meeting, emphasizing that the government wants constituents to express their minds and will work on their feedback, commended AMA for his great work so far.

Col. Onafowokan noted the remarkable progress made since AMA’s assumption of office and raised concerns about the Imota jetty.
