Bishop Jide Orire

President Bola Tinubu has been advised to as a matter of urgency act fast in addressing the nation especially the youths now.

Bishop Jide Orire, the General Overseer of Save and Serve Family Church, Ologuneru, Ibadan, gave the advice on Thursday.

According to him, the youths through the broadcast will know more about what his administration is doing to alleviate the suffering of he masses but however warn not to deligate any of his minister to do the broadcast.

Bishop Orire appealed to the President to find a lasting solution to the high price in the cost of food stuffs by opening the border so that the price of food commodities will be reduced drastically.

He also advised the President to remove taxes for essential commodities as this will alleviate the suffrng of the masses.

While urging the President to also reduce the price of petrol, Bishop Orire maintained that by this, the price of transportation will be reduced drastically and also the part of vehicles too will come down when the border is opened.

“The taxes that some government officials collect from vehicle owners should be stopped henceforth.

“I also want to beg our religious leaders to always pray for the nation instead of prophesying everytime.

Bishop Orire called on security agencies to make sure no youth is shot or killed during the protest.

“The protest should be a non- violent one. I beg our security agencies not to turn this protest into the October 20, 2020, #EndSars protest that turned bloody.

Bishop Orire advised President Tinubu not to allow it turn to anti-protest rally whereby they will now face the youths saying he should not forget what happened in Sudan and Kenya where the youths took to the streets destroying government properties.

“Please, have mercy on Nigerians because they’re hungry. Do something about it. Make Nigerians smile. You can do it. Mqke the Yorubas proud of you as the President of this nation. We don’t want any chaos in this nation. Try to identify the sycophants among your government. We don’t want Nigeria to experience what happened in Ghana, Sudan, Liberia some years back.

“Our youths have listening ears and that’s why am urging you to make a broadcast so that they will know that you’re really their father.

“President Tinubu should realise that the western world are watching us and they see us as the giant of Africa. You should act fast. I wouldn’t want Nigerians in Diaspora to start protesting as this will not tell well on us as nation.

“I am also urging the youths to thread softly by not destroying government properties because it’s the property of everyone.

“President Tinubu should address the nation in an matured way whereby Nigerians will be happy with what he said.

“He should make sure petrol price is reduced drastically to the barest minimum to alleviate the suffering being experienced presently.

“As a pastor, I know how much I give to the poor that comes to my way for help. Infact, I can not quantify how much am spending on this
