The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended warm congratulations to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his triumphant re-election in Ondo State’s recent governorship election, where he garnered an impressive 366,781 votes across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
Governor Aiyedatiwa emerged Victorious, outpacing His closest Conterpart, Agboola Ajayi who had 117, 845 votes.
According to a statement issued by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Sunday, the party
The APC attributed Aiyedatiwa’s success to his administration’s ability to connect with voters through impactful policies.
The statement read, “The All Progressives Congress (APC) heartily congratulates the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on his re-election”
“Your Excellency’s resounding victory in the just-concluded Ondo State gubernatorial election is a clear attestation that your administration’s policies and programmes and campaign message of hope and consolidation have resonated deeply with the electorate.
With this renewed mandate, we are confident that you will build upon your accomplishments, and take the state to even greater heights of social and economic development for the benefit of the good people of Ondo State” it added.
The ruling party praised the Independent National Electoral Commission, security agencies, and Ondo State residents for their collaborative efforts, ensuring a hitch-free electoral process.
“We commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security agencies for their professionalism and patriotism in the discharge of their constitutional roles during the election”.
“We thank the Ondo electorate for their sustained and highly valued support of our great Party,” the statement concluded.
Declaring the winner of the election at the State Collation Centre in Akure, the state capital, the State Returning Officer, Prof Olayemi Akinwumi said, “That Ayedatiwa Lucky Orimisan of APC, having satisfied the requirement of the law is hereby returned elected.”
