…promises incentive for best grades

In a continuous involvement with the aim of promoting education and empowering the leaders of tomorrow, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe today officially distributes 300 free GCE Forms to indigent students for the year 2025 November/December examination in collaboration with the SOHCAHTOA Foundation, a non governmental organisation that has been towing this line for years.
The impactful initiative is to ensure the Local Government’s educational support engages all youths in the strive for better education in order to achieve a promising future.

In her opening address,the Council Manager, Mrs. Mosunmola Otaiku-Okoka appreciated the Executive Chairman, Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe for his commitment to giving back to the people of Kosofe; she extended her words of encouragement to and advised the beneficiaries to reciprocate this golden gesture given by the Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe led administration by coming out in flying colours.
In his goodwill message, the SOHCAHTOA Foundation’s CEO, Mrs. Solape Fayemi who this year supported the kosofe Edu-Support Initiative with 150 GCE Forms as it’s done yearly admonished the beneficiaries to study hard ahead of the examination and implored the parents present to guide their wards towards achieving success in the end.
In her remarks, Mrs. Fayemi pledged more collaborations with the Local Government in relation to education being the hallmark of the kosofe Edu- Support Initiative.

In the same vain, the Leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Femi Oyesile, commended the keen support and concerns of the Executive Chairman on Education while he also encouraged the beneficiaries to develop a reading culture and stay away from distractions.
In his Keynote address, the Kosofe Council boss shared his experience as a student, advising all present to aim at the stars as he described Education as a “weapon of transformation which contributes meaningfully to the Society”
Barr. Ogunlewe reiterated that the local government and other Non Governmental Organisations interested in educational development will continuously keep the Edu-support Initiative evergreen, assuring the beneficiaries of scholarships to higher institutions if they can reciprocate with distinction in all the papers.
Conclusively, the event came to an end with appreciation messages from the beneficiaries and their parents to the sponsors and a vote of thanks from the Head of Education and Library Services, Mr. Adedeji Owolabi.
Also at the event were the Vice Chairman, Mr. Oluwole Sosanya, the APC LGA Chairman, Hon. Kehinde Bello, Legislative Members, the Council Manager,other Management Members and Staff, SOHCAHTOA Representatives amongst others.
