
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command launches its State – Level Coordination Meeting on the Protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure ( CNAI ) – today, Monday, 22nd September, 2025, held at IHS, office, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Lagos .
The Summit is a part of the implementation framework of the 2024 CNAI National Protection Policy and Strategy ( NPPS ) as duly asserted by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria , Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Grand Commander of the Federal Republic ( GCFR ) and Commander – In – Chief .

While delivering is Keynote speech today, the State Commandant , NSCDC, Lagos State Command , Mr Keshinro Adedotun affirmed that the State – Level Coordination Summit is convened at the directive of the Office of the National Security Adviser ( ONSA ), who has tasked the Corps to join forces in safeguarding those assets that underpin the safety , stability and economic well – being of our nation .
He further says that Lagos hosts some of the most critical assets ; our seaports and airports , energy facilities , telecommunications hubs, financial institutions and major transport corridors and as such makes the state both a strength to the nation and a prime target of hostile actors .

The Chief Corporate services, IHS, Mr Dapo Otunla welcomes all Stakeholders to the IHS facility where the meeting takes place and seizes the opportunity to commend all participating agencies and services as he charges them to see the round table meeting as an opportunity to proffer solution needed to ensure the protection of our collective critical national assets and infrastructure across the country.
The event draws goodwill messages from the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Communications Commission, ICPC and EFCC amongst others .
The representatives and stakeholders of various agencies, who speaks at the event today, commends the NSCDC, Lagos State Command, for putting the event together and deepening robust engagements tailored towards enhancing collaboration and collective approach of tackling the untoward vandalism of assets and infrastructure in the country by unscrupulous elements .
The State – Level Coordination Meeting welcomes also interventions, contributions and suggestions from the participating distinguished stakeholders, who attends the event .
The participants agree that a more robust framework be put in place to allow for the participation of more stakeholders in the implementation framework of CNAI – NPPS in the country amongst others.
The Lagos State Commandant of the NSCDC also affirmed that other level meetings will also come up with Traditional Institutions , Religious Organizations and other relevant stakeholders in the state and contributions received from all these engagements will form the context of the communique that will be submitted .
The event hosts critical stakeholders, which cut across all Security Agencies / Services and private establishments such as the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, IHS, Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army , Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Airforce, Department of State Services , Nigeria Immigration Service , Nigeria Correctional Service , Federal Fire Service , Economic and Financial Crimes Commission , Independent Corrupt Practices and and Related Offences Commission, MTN, AIRTEL, Nigeria Electricity Management Services Agency, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency , National Orientation Agency , Nigeria Communications Commission , MENJ Oil, FIBER ONE, Eko Electricity Distribution Company, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Scrap Dealers Association Lagos State Chapter, Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company and many other relevant agencies .
