The Coalition of Pro-Democracy Groups, in conjunction with local and foreign journalists, will hold a rally to reject the clamour for a military takeover by some section of the country.

A statement by the National Coordinator Coaliton of Pro-Democracy Groups for A Better Nigeria, Comrade Awa Bamiji, said the rally, tagged, ‘Tinubu Mandate Protection Rally (Part II),’ will hold on Monday, July 22, at Unity Fountain Square, Abuja, by 11am.

“Chairman of the occasion is Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, while the co- chairman is Senator Shehu Sani.

“Guest speakers include Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, founding father, Arewa Consultative Forum and former Special Adviser to Alhaji Shehu Shagari; Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, former governor of Osun State and former Minister of Interior; Owelle Rochas Okorocha, former governor of Imo State; Dr Kayode Fayemi, former governor of Ekiti State; Comrade Segun Mayegun, former president, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS); Alhaji Yerima Shettima,President, Arewa Youth Consultative Forum; Hon James Faleke, member, House of Representatives; Alhaji Asari Dukobo, Leader, Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force; Chief (Mrs) Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, Iyaloja – General of Nigeria; Chief Oliver Okonkwo, APC Youth Leader, Anambra State; Barrister Abuka Omobaba Onalo, Leader, United Middle Belt Indigenous People’s Congress (UMBIPC); Hon Kaka Usman, former Special Adviser on Public Relations to Vice President Kashim Shettima,” he said.

Awa noted that attendance is strictly voluntary and self-sponsored, adding that maximum security is guaranteed.

He prayed for the success of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
