The Joint Task Force Say No To Crimes and Criminality Awareness Campaign In Security Measures To Avert Public Unrest jointly had it’s summit with Lagos Mainland Local Government, Surulere Local Government and Yaba Local Government Community Development Area in which Lagos Mainland Local Government was the principal host. Held on Friday 26th of July 2024 at the Council Secretariat.

The Joint Task Force Security was established at the Local Government Level to tackle the issues of insecurities, they comprises of all Local vigilante groups within the Community without segregation and got it’s approval to operate from the Governor of Lagos State and State Command.

The Executive Chairman Lagos Mainland Local Government Hon Mrs Omolola Rashidat Essien states that she has being working with JTF at Ikeja Local Government during the Administration of His Excellence President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu when he was then the Governor of Lagos State, they have been in existence prior before now, appreciates the effort of the State Government on the provision of Boat which will enable the team to apprehend any criminal that tries to escape through the waters. Advise all when you see something say something don’t be quiet when there’s need to speak out to save a life and the society.


Buttress more on Protest intending to come upon 1st to 15th of August in Lagos State, the State Government will not indulge any act of criminality and vandalization of government properties under the disguise of protest anyone found wanting in this act within the Local Government Area will be arrested, he who wants to protest should go to their state and do so. Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu is working, Lagos State is Moving Forward

The Lagos State Commander of Joint Task Force, Commander Olusan, seeks for the full support of the community leaders to kick against indiscipline in our society. On Monday a directive was received from the Governor to carryout an operative service in the Area of Okobaba based on the complaints of the People within the environs on Breach of Peace which has caused unrest to the People in that Area, there was a swift response to calm down the situation and order necessary steps has been taken to restore peace back to the community.

He said the Joint Task Force works Inconjunction with the Nigerian Police Force any arrest carried out by our team we refer the suspect to the nearest Police Station closer to the scene of the crime for further investigation after we’ve taken our own report of evidence, both State and Local government has made provisions for Patrol vehicles and Boats to make our work easier and we assures the government of proper utilization of this facilities. Shun insecurity, Say No To Violation, Protest, Crime, and Criminalities in our communities make it a better place to live and to carry out our daily bread.

The DPO Adegbemi Isiaka from Adekunle Police Station assures continuous joint effort with the Joint Task Force to work on security related matters to ensure the safety of lives and properties in the Community. He further said any case reported to them by JTF has always been dealt with and will continue on that note. It will be done appropriately in accordance with the Laws of the Land.
