The Mayor of Lagos Mainland Local Government Honourable Emilagba Jubril Kolawole has charged all the beneficiaries of free GCE forms to leverage on the support given to them so as to record great achievementsNewsconnect reports that the initiative is a yearly tradition that underscores the council’s unwavering commitment to educational development and the empowerment of their youths.
“Education is universally recognized as the foundation for progress. It is the tool that unlocks creativity, builds resilience, and equips individuals with the knowledge and skills required to transform society.

As a government, we understand that investing in education is not only an investment in the lives of our children but also in the collective prosperity of our nation.

This programme is, therefore, a deliberate effort to ensure that opportunities for higher learning are extended to every deserving child within our local government.”In furtherance of this vision, our administration has also introduced summer holiday tutorial lessons to prepare our students for forthcoming examinations.
Alongside academic support, we have included entrepreneurial skill learning to empower our young people with practical knowledge such as ICT basics, craftwork, and small-scale business skills. By combining academic preparation with entrepreneurial training, we are building well-rounded individuals who can excel in their studies while also developing self-reliance and creativity.

“Beyond these efforts, our administration is equally focused on strengthening the learning environment at the grassroots level. In the coming months, UNA Primary School will undergo a total renovation to provide a more conducive environment for pupils.
Additionally, all primary schools within Lagos Mainland Local Government will be equipped with computer systems and accessories. These facilities will be powered by solar energy to ensure uninterrupted access to technology-driven learning, thereby preparing our children for the digital age.
“To our dear students who are the beneficiaries of today’s exercise, I urge you to seize this opportunity with seriousness and dedication. Let this support serve as a stepping stone to greater achievements. Pursue your studies with determination, discipline, and passion.

Always remember that education is the bridge between dreams and reality, and the effort you put in today will determine the success you celebrate tomorrow”. He said .
Emilagba extended appreciation to all stakeholders who made the intervention a success – parents, teachers, community leaders, and government officials.

He said;
“Together, we will continue to champion initiatives that uplift our youths and secure the future of Lagos Mainland”.
The beneficiaries promised to make the chairman proud and prayed that God will continue to strengthen the Chairman to do more.
