At the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mega Rally convened by Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada for ‘Greater Kosofe’ ahead of the local council polls in July 12th, 2025, the lawmakers representing Kosofe constituency 1 and 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly Honourable Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde and Honourable Femi Saheed respectively appealed to electorates in the axis to come out enmasse and vote for candidates of APC as a result of their experience and antecedents in landing landmark projects.
Newsconnect reports that the lawmakers in an interview with this medium at the event at different intervals posited that the candidates of APC in Kosofe Local Government, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Ikosi-isheri LCDA are sellable, hence it is important to publicize them so the voters in the axis can make informed decision by voting them at the polls.
Honourable Femi Saheed, in an interview with our correspondence at the Mega Rally of APC in Kosofe said;
“This event is symbolic, it shows the representation of what the creation of 57 local governments by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done to Lagos State.
“It has brought unprecedented development to our own LCDA. Look at Ikosi-Isheri for example, we have one of the largest PHC center in Africa built by a council Chairman.
“In Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Housing Estate that has revolutionize Housing Sector in Nigeria, go to Kosofe and see transformation, if Asiwaju Bola Ahmed hasnt created these LCDA’s, development won’t have been closer to the grassroot the way it is today.
“We are celebrating achievements, we are selling our candidates, we are telling the electorates, see all these achievements as a reason why you would come out and vote enmasse for the All Progressive Congress.
“Because all these unprecedented landmark achievements I have talked about, we are at ease and we are poised to consolidate on them so that come 2027, people would know that APC has done tremendously well for Nigeria.
“My message to LASIEC is for LASIEC to follow its objectives and be an unbiased umpire. We trust and hope LASIEC would perform up to expectation”. He said.
The Chairman House Committee on Local Government Affairs, Local Government Administration Chieftaincy Affairs And Rural Development Honourable Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon (Okla) representative of Kosofe Constituency l in Kosofe House of Assembly corroborated his colleague in a separate interview at the event.
Okla said:
“The essence of this event is to publicize our products. We have sellable products, this is just to publicize them, sell them to the people, preach the gospel of our party, the party that has broom as insignia to the teaming people of the states.
“These are sellable products, we have seen what they have done in the past, that gives us the confidence to re-present them for this office.
“I want to assure you that the people of Kosofe LG, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, have confidence on these our products. We verily believe that, they will deliver more dividend of democracy.
“Everybody should embrace them and go out there on July 12, to go and vote for no other party but APC”. He said.
