The Daughter of late Former Chairman of Kosofe Local Government and Former Chairman Committee on Judiciary Lagos State House of Assembly Barrister Oyinkansola Tunde Buraimoh has thanked Mayor Dele Oshinowo for immortalizing her father by renaming the old Mandela market to Tunde Buraimoh’s complex after he completed its renovation.

Newsconnect reports that Oyinkansola said;
“This is a very good initiative, this would keep the name, and legacies for generations to come. It will continue to spread the great man Tunde Buraimoh was.
“We want to say thank you to the administration behind this renaming, to Mayor Dele Osinowo for his great leadership, intuition and proactiveness for recognizing the legacy of a true leader.
“I want to thank him on behalf of the family for this honour, may God continue to bless him”. She said
Mayor Dele Oshinowo in an interview with journalists at the event said;
” This is a modern market that has not been built around Lagos for a while, you can see what we are giving to our community, we are thinking about sustainability in our development, this is why we keep up with this.
“Couple of years ago, the state government informed us about the state of the market that it failed integrity test. So we engaged developers to come up with this. We faced so many challenges in the process but we were able to come up with this.
“This market will be named after one of our leader, the former Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, we are finishing strong, we are commissioning sport complex and recreational center.
“We are commissionig three roads today. A network of road of about 1.75km. Today we are giving back to our community a legacy projects that would stand the test of time. It is very important, they deserved the best that is why we are giving them”. He said .
The first Executive Chairman in Agboyi-ketu Pastor Mrs Yetunde Arobieke told journalists that the transformation of the market is very lofty, it is very nice that it further improves the local government.
“If you want a modern shop, Agboyi-ketu is the place to come. You can’t have a shop here and not sell, come and invest. It is a densely populated area, we should keep it clean and neat”. She said
