The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, along with other Council officials, welcomed the delegation from the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development to their Council Secretariat.
Led by Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon, Member of Lagos House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency (1) who is also the Chairman of the Committee, the group gathered at the Council Hall and received a warm reception from the council heads for the great the Lagos State of Assembly is doing in ensuring transparency and accountability.
Acknowledging the diligent administration of the Executive Chairman in utilizing Federal Allocation and Internally Generated Revenue for the benefit of the community through various projects and programs over the past three years. Hon. Okanlawon commended Barrister Ogunlewe’s commitment to the comfortability and welfare of residents and.He stated the reason for the oversight function to Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas is to ensure tax payers money and other resources are used for the benefit of the masses.
Barrister Ogunlewe, in turn, proudly presented the remarkable and laudable achievements of his administration, including the successful completion of forty verifiable infrastructure projects with several others still in progress. Additionally, he highlighted initiatives such as provision of Transformers, the establishment of borehole facilities across the seven wards, a free Transportation System, accessible Health Care services, impactful educational programs, a Food Bank for monthly palliatives, as well as Human Capacity Building for political office holders and staff.
Expressing their appreciation for the Chairman’s dedication to representing the people of Kosofe, the LAHA team encouraged further improvements in other areas.
Concluding the visit, the entourage visited the Kosofe Legislative Chamber and also inspected completed and ongoing projects both within and outside the Council Secretariat, alongside political office holders and the management team.
