In a strategic move to revitalize its revenue generation and management, Kosofe Local Government has appointed Mr. Michael Olugbo Adeyemi as the new Revenue Committee Chairman. The appointment, made last Thursday, came weeks after the previous chairman was relieved of his duties due to declining revenue and accountability issues.
Mr. Adeyemi, a UK-trained IT and sales professional, brings a wealth of experience to the role. With a BSc in Business Information Technology from Portsmouth University and an MSc in Management Information Technology from Nottingham University, he is well-equipped to modernize the local government’s revenue collection processes.
The new chairman’s appointment was initiated by Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, and received approval from the Legislative Arm after thorough vetting led by Hon. Idowu Oluloro, Leader of the Kosofe Legislative Arm.
Mr. Adeyemi’s impressive background includes founding Fidelize Global Limited, an IT consultancy firm, and serving as an Enterprise Cloud Technology Sales Director at Oracle Corporation. His expertise in both IT and sales is expected to introduce innovative approaches to revenue generation and management.
As an active member of professional bodies such as the Nigerian Computer Society and the British Computer Society, Mr. Adeyemi is poised to bring best practices to Kosofe’s revenue management. His appointment reflects the local government’s commitment to leveraging professional expertise to address its financial challenges and drive sustainable growth.
