Ramadan Mubarak to all our Muslim faithfuls in Kosofe Local Government Area. As we commence the holy month of Ramadan, let us remember the profound words of the Qur’an: “O you who believe, Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may attain Taqwa (piety).” (2:183).
Ramadan is a spiritual month in which self-reflection, self-discipline, greater devotion, and meditation on the essence of life itself are interconnected. It’s a time that makes us be able to brighten our relation with Allah (SWT) through fasting, prayers, and all sorts of good deeds, whether big or small. Let the other intrinsic virtues of this sacred month enwrap in us and empower us to be better people.
Besides, it is at the time of Ramadan that society is drawn together into becoming a people with a sense of consideration; people become caring givers. Together, we would become rich with giving our mercies and kindlinesses. Together, we can bring impact for peaceful and fair society by helping people learn how to follow the principles of Islam.
We pray that our action will be done in Ibadah. May this year’s Ramadan bring peace, progress, and blessings upon Kosofe Local Government and its people. Ramadan Kareem.
