Late Debo Akeem Oke

The Kosofe political community, alongside the entire Lagos State, is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of a grassroots titan, Hon. Debo Akeem Oke. His passing has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of many. Among those mourning is Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon—known affectionately as OKLA—a dedicated legislator and representative of Kosofe Constituency 01 in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Hon. Okanlawon, known for his strong connections to the people and deep appreciation for service and leadership, expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Hon. Oke. Describing him as a loyal party man, a committed leader, and a pillar within the All Progressives Congress (APC), Okanlawon highlighted the invaluable contributions Hon. Oke made toward grassroots mobilization, party unity, and the development of Oworonshoki community and the Kosofe local government area.

In his tribute, Hon. Okanlawon acknowledged that Hon. Debo Akeem Oke was more than just a political figure—he was a mentor to many, a bridge-builder across generations, and a man whose political insight and selfless service endeared him to both colleagues and constituents.
