The popular Kosofe free shuttle buses, a key component of the Kosofe Cares Initiative spearheaded by Executive Chairman Barr Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, are set to return to service on Monday, August 12, 2024. The service had been temporarily suspended due to nationwide protests that began on August 1.

Residents across the seven wards of Kosofe Local Government Area – Oworonsoki, Ifako/Gbagada, Anthony, Mende, Ojota, and Ogudu – will once again benefit from this free transportation service that moves across the LGA. The initiative aims to ease the burden of commuting for local residents.

The resumption of this free service marks a return to normalcy and demonstrates the local government’s commitment to supporting its constituents. Commuters are encouraged to take advantage of this free service between 7am and 10am with a return journey between 4pm and 7pm. This is expected to significantly reduce transportation costs and improve mobility within the local government area for residents.
