In a  shocking  development, Philip Ogunnaike, the suspected notorious killer recently apprehended by Ogun State Police, has appealed for a swift death sentence for himself and his alleged co-conspirators without further investigation and legal proceedings.

He made this request in an investigative footage shared by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola on her X page.Haven Blamed  Danjuma and other unidentified accomplices for his initiation into the notorious Eiye Confraternity, leading him down the path of violence.

According to him, “I just don’t want  anything other than the police   arresting  Danjuma and others who lured me into the Eiye cult. If we get to court, they should not bother hearing our case, they should just go and kill us” 

“But before they kill us, they should give me food so that I can eat before they kill me because those that I killed may just have finished eating before I killed them,” he said in Yoruba 

After an intensive investigation, the 29-year-old suspect CONFESSED  to be responsible for the tragic deaths of at least three young girls, including an 18-year-old, in distinct incidents across the state.

The Authorities However ,exposed Philip’s heinous strategy of targeting vulnerable individuals, leading them into forest isolation then killing them, stealing their phones and  discarding their bodies , leaving families and communities shattered.

Investigation also revealed that Philip had earlier absconded from the Ibara Correction Centre two years ago over armed robbery charges.

Upon his arrest on Friday , the Police disclosed  that the  suspect has testified being  responsible for the killings of Mary Ogunyemi (23 years), Abigail Dina ( 22 years) and Akinsanya Habibat ( 18 years)

Philip  who led the Police to his three different murder scenes, confessed to having  lured and killed his neighbour’s daughter ,Ogunyemi Mary and  two others.

In a statement documented , Philip Recalled   how Mary met her ordeal.

“she was sent by her mother to get fruits  at  Adatan, Esero Estate in the early hours of the morning of July 3, 2024..Philip however escorted her and being   a trusted  neighbor, there was no cause for alarm”

“ He lured her to a nearby bush in Asero Estate and called in another culprit  to assist him in the kidnapping process”.

“The victim was  however tied  with rope and  after  her  iPhone  was taken from her,   they jointly strangled her to death. The murderers  later contacted the victim’s mother by phone and requested  for a ransom of seventeen thousand naira.

The Culprits  dumped Mary’s body in the bush and headed  straight to BADAGARY, Lagos State where the iPhone was sold for #8,000.

In the same vein, The command also gave a report of how the suspect  raped and killed 18-year-old Akinsanya  who happened  to be his Employer’s daughter on  her father’s farmland,  at Mile 6, Abeokuta, August 30, 2024.

“Ogunnaike  held the  victim hostage on her father’s farmland then was  raped  and strangled her to death with a rope”.

“He later reached out to the deceased  parents to demand a ransom of #1 Million  before absconding  from the scene but the parent could only afford 

#30,000 in which they paid to the moniepoint account  that was sent to them by the Kidnapper”.

Meanwhile Akinsanya’s lifeless  body was later  discovered on her father’s farmland in Obasa village, Mile 6, Abeokuta, Ogun State, alongside  her POS machine .

In addition , the suspect confessed to having lured her  to the family farm then raped her and   tied  her legs with rope before strangling her to death.

In Conclusion, The state Police Commissioner, Abiodun Alamutu also announced that a thorough Search operation on  the Co- Conspirators  has begun .
