The Councilor elect from Ward E in Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA Fatimah Yusuf Salami has promised the electorates and the people of Ward E who voted enmasse to elect her excellent project once she hits the ground running.

Newsconnect reports that Fatimah in an interview with journalists after she was sure of victory at the polls said;

“The people of Ward E should expect excellent job from me. I am a youth and a young person. I know what the youths want and I know what my people want. I will be there for my people because I am working for my people not myself”. She said.

The Director General Bola Oladunjoye Campaign Organisation Dr Oluwaseun Akapo said nobody could have predicted the election day would be a sunny day when we are in raining season. He said it shows things went well the way they are meant to be. He talked about the turnout of electorates and plans to increase numbers ahead 2027.

“The turn out of election is above average this time around, we expect better turn out in the future. Our youths came out and in some highly populated areas, we had a lot of people coming out and we thank God for the day.

“We know we have a long way to go, we know we need to bring in young people into the organisation, we need to bring in young members, we need to talk to young people, we need prepare our members ahead of the future election.

“People think the local government election is a done deal, no! we have oppositions that is why we have to prepare for our oppositions.

“I think we have a lot of work to do in the next two year to ensure such doesn’t repeat itself. Overall, it’s been above average performance, and the turn out is not that bad.

“I would like to thank everyone for coming out. You have come out to express yourself , you have come out to show that vote will be counted and things can be done properly.

“Vote is the power we have at the grassroot level and also at the federal level. I would like to thank everyone again, it’s a good thing to be out. I give them all the ‘gbosas’ they need to get”. He said .
