Honourable Sola Giwa

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Hon. Sola Giwa, extends heartfelt felicitations to all Muslim faithful in Lagos State as they commemorate the sacred occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, signifying the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan.

Hon. Giwa lauds the unwavering fortitude, discipline, and spiritual devotion exhibited throughout the period of fasting, underscoring that the ethos of love, self-sacrifice, and unity cultivated during Ramadan should transcend the celebrations and reflect in everyday life.

“As we revel in the solemnity of this auspicious festivity, I enjoin all Lagosians—particularly road users—to embody the virtues of patience, courtesy, and civic responsibility that Ramadan instills. Let us extend the same discipline to our daily engagements, including our conduct on the roads,” he affirmed.

Furthermore, Hon. Giwa admonished motorists, commercial drivers, and commuters to exercise heightened vigilance and accord utmost priority to safety while traversing the metropolis, especially during this festive period, characterized by increased vehicular movement. He strongly urged strict compliance with traffic regulations to avert accidents and mitigate unnecessary congestion.

“I passionately appeal to all road users to adhere strictly to traffic laws, shun reckless driving, and collaborate with traffic management personnel to facilitate a seamless, accident-free celebration,” he emphasized.

Reaffirming the unwavering commitment of the Lagos State Government to fostering unhindered mobility and road safety, he implored citizens to promptly report any road incidents or impediments that may disrupt traffic flow via LASTMA’s toll-free hotline: 080000527862.
