Hon. Abiodun Olumide Fatoki, chairmanship aspirant for the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA in Alimosho Local Government Area, unveiled his aspirations during an event themed “Joòrẹfáde Rendezvous” at 12th Legacy Hotel Lounge, Baruwa, Lagos. Speaking to a distinguished audience of supporters, business associates, and stakeholders, Hon. Fatoki emphasized his commitment to exceptional grassroots governance and progressive leadership.
In his address, Hon. Fatoki described his decision to contest for the chairmanship position as a “bold step” towards transformative governance. He stated:
“You can’t just take a step without first counting the cost, and I thank God that I am among those who have come out to let their intentions be known. Yes, I’m running. It’s my turn for Alimosho Local Government, and I am not desisting. I am not going back. I am not saying no to it. When it talks about money, only God owns all things. Glory, honor, and wealth belong to Him alone.”
Highlighting his vision, Hon. Fatoki stressed the need for inclusive leadership that empowers all residents of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA and Baruwa. He expressed his gratitude to attendees and his international partners for their support, stating:
“Exceptional programs beget exceptional governance. Some might say we lack structure, but today, we represent 40% Baruwa, 40% Ayobo-Ipaja, and many associates in business. I want to thank you all for coming, and I am calling on everyone to register and join the progressives. Let us collectively light up Ayobo-Ipaja.”
Addressing the importance of collaboration, Hon. Fatoki continued:
“Leaders don’t force people to follow them; they invite them on a journey. So, I invite everyone here to join this journey—a journey to demystify governance and transform grassroots government in Alimosho.”
The event, strictly by invitation, was marked by engaging discussions, networking opportunities, and a shared commitment to community development. With purple and white as the theme colors, the evening symbolized unity and hope for a brighter future in Alimosho.
Hon. Fatoki concluded by reaffirming his resolve to deliver exceptional governance, stating, “This is our time, and together, we will build a brighter Alimosho.”
