The Convener of Grow Ikorodu Movement and the Global Director of Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement (ADAM) Aarebirin Hon (Dr) Folashade Olabanji Oba has organized a post primary press conference to thank her party APC, Ikorodu and all stakeholders inherent despite the fact that she didn’t emerge as the party flagbearer at the local government primary election on May 10 2025.
Newsconnect reports that in the spirit of patriotism, Folashade despite admitting that there were political undercurrents in the last primary election of APC, she intimated journalists that she remained committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda of APC and the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for second term come 2027.
She said;
“While believing in party supremacy, we count on the principle of fairness, equity, and justice that our great party is known for, from the concerned quarters and stakeholders. “Party first” is our watchword at all times.
” We are tireless party faithful who will continue to champion the vision of Mr President for grassroots development.
“Today, we gather to celebrate ourselves as winners and ambassadors of progress. We are rededicating ourselves and to the greater vision of prosperity for all. Ikorodu is our home and our pride; hence, we think Ikorodu to Grow Ikorodu.
“As outstanding APC Amazons, we align with the vision of the Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement (ADAM) and have resolved to leave no stone unturned to ensure victory of Asiwaju come 2027”.
“We are gathered here today to say a big thank you to everyone. You all matter. Thank you to our great party, the APC. Thank you to the people of Ikorodu and most importantly thank you to our beloved, quintessential leader, H.E President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for staying true to his word and putting Nigeria back on the path of greatness”.
Folashade at the Press conference enumerated the reasons he endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term in his second year.
“I am proud to say it boldly without blinking: we endorse President Tinubu for a second term. He is a man of vision, courage, and action. In just two years, he has done what many couldn’t do in decades and as someone who has worked closely with the grassroots, I see it, I feel it, and I hear it from the people”.
She said her endorsement of Mr President for second term in his second year is not just political – It is patriotic:

Debt reduction: He has reduced our national debt from $108 billion to $94 billion. That’s not magic it is leadership.
Trade surplus: In 2024, Nigeria recorded a whopping $14.3 billion trade surplus- out highest in history.
GDP growth, stock market boom, wage increase, NYSC allowance, Students loan, local government autonomy, No ASUU strike, massive infrastructure, Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto-Badagry Expressway, Capital Inflow Up by 66.27, Federal Allocation Increased by 300%, states now have more power to serve you better.
