‎‎Telecommunications giant, Globacom, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Ondo State Government to deploy digital solutions that will boost efficiency, governance, and socio-economic growth across the state.‎‎

At a meeting in Akure, Globacom’s Group Lead for Enterprise Business, Mr. Adeniyi Odejobi, outlined the company’s range of digital services to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and top government officials.‎‎

As part of the collaboration, Glo will introduce a Learning Management System (LMS) to support students in secondary and tertiary institutions. Through Glo Share, students will enjoy zero-rated access to the LMS, enabling them to learn online without incurring data costs.‎‎

The partnership will also provide free data access to Ondo State’s digital payment platform, allowing residents to pay taxes and other levies seamlessly.‎‎In addition, the package includes a surveillance system powered by facial biometrics, a Traffic Management Solution to combat crime, and vehicle-tracking services to curb theft and misuse of government-owned vehicles.‎‎

To enhance communication within the public sector, Globacom will supply free closed-user group lines to all state ministries, departments, and agencies.‎‎Governor Aiyedatiwa lauded the initiative, stressing that his administration is committed to leveraging technology to improve governance and service delivery.

He noted that the adoption of Glo’s innovative solutions will reduce bureaucracy, enhance productivity, and minimize human interference in government processes.‎‎The Governor also commended Globacom for its pioneering role in revolutionizing Nigeria’s telecommunications industry, making mobile services accessible to millions of Nigerians.‎‎

“This partnership marks another milestone in our efforts to embrace digital innovation for the benefit of our people,” Aiyedatiwa said.
