The Governor of Lagos State His Excellency Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu has charged the Chairmanship and Councilorship flagbearers of All Progressive Congress (APC) that they can deliver landmark projects in their respective LGAs/LCDAs in the space of four years if they are committed, because the records are there by those who have done it.

Newsconnect reports that Sanwo-Olu made this statement during the stakeholders parley he organized to rejoice and prepare candidates of his party at the state house in Marina, Lagos State yesterday.

“All of you that are seated here, you are all leaders either in the CDC, market, youths, ward, local government, state, that is why you are here as stakeholders.

“It is very important to take home from this gathering that we have seen governor and he has sent us to reconcile with the aggrieved.

“Just as Baba Olusi said, four years is sufficient for chairman to perform. There are so many examples, we have seen some Chairmen who spent just 4 years and we saw what they all did.

“Governor, Deputy Governor and Speaker have witnessed the commissioning of some Chairmen because they have different landmark projects that are individually embarking on. We don’t have excuse for underperforming.

“You have everything working for you. You have the support of the leadership of the party. You are responsible to your people to ensure that the dividend of democracy gets to them.

“At this level, it is a call to service. You and your vice chair is a joint ticket. There should not be any acrimony , there should not be any division. Vice Chairman should always know that their Chairman is their chairman. That is the number one person in the local government.

“The chairman will give you your deserving respect and recognition. And to the councilors you have a constitutional responsibility, encourage them to discharge their own responsibilities and you would see that your local government, LCDA will continue to fluorish , and continue to do well”. He said.
