It is with deep humility and great honor that I address you today on this blessed occasion commemorating the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
This day is not merely a remembrance of his birth, but a celebration of his timeless teachings, noble character, and enduring legacy which continue to guide humanity towards truth, righteousness, and divine light.
This unprecedented celebration would not be a one-off event, going forward, it will be celebrated annually in Lagos Mainland Local Government.
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), born in the holy city of Makkah, is the final messenger of Allah and the seal of all prophets. His life embodied integrity, justice, humility, and compassion. Through his divine mission, he uplifted humanity by teaching the eternal values of faith, peace, love, and unity—principles that transcend race, culture, and generations.
Celebrating his birth aligns with his Sunnah, for he encouraged believers to recognize Allah’s countless blessings and reflect upon His infinite mercy.
Indeed, the greatest blessing bestowed upon mankind is the advent of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as Allah reminds us in the Holy Qur’an:
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds” (Qur’an 21:107).
On this auspicious day, it is fitting to highlight some of the strides our administration has made within the first thirty days in office.

By the special grace of Almighty Allah, we have embarked on major infrastructure projects, including the reconstruction of the road network from Jebba through Tapa Street down to Okobaba, as well as the rebuilding of the Police Post at Odaliki. In addition, we have undertaken comprehensive renovations, critical repairs, and strategic reconstructions which will be fully unveiled during our 100-day celebration.
Our commitment to public welfare remains paramount. In healthcare, we continue to expand access and improve service delivery for our people. In education, we have distributed 500 General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms, launched tutorial programs, and prepared for the distribution of free exercise books across all public schools in our jurisdiction.

This morning, we commenced the renovation of U.N.A. Primary School, Oyingbo, and carried out the de-flooding of Kadara Primary School Compound. Furthermore, we are committed to establishing ICT centers in all public primary schools, powered by sustainable solar energy.
By the mercy of Allah, we will also commence the groundbreaking of Oroku Road for a total reconstruction on Monday.
As we celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), may this blessed day inspire us to deepen our faith, strengthen our unity, and embody his noble example in our daily lives.

I pray that Allah (SWT) grants us lasting peace, wisdom, and the steadfastness to uphold his teachings in service to our community, our state, and our nation.
Thank you all for your presence, and may the blessings and peace of Allah rest upon us abundantly.
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
