Earlier this afternoon, another Dangote truck (GML 730 XX) fully loaded with cements collided with the BRT corridor at Demurin Junction, heading towards Mile 12. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The accident occurred due to brake failure, as the truck, moving at high speed, veered into the BRT lane while the driver ran away with the thought that he had rammed on commuters.

No casualties were recorded as the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) rescue team swiftly arrived at the scene to manage the situation with LRU team, Officers from the Ketu Police Station provided security support during the rescue operations.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Hon. Sola Giwa, urged truck drivers to adhere to the speed limits clearly indicated on road signs provided by the Lagos State Government.
