In a notable turn of events, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, widely recognised as Bobrisky, faced arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Federal High Court in Lagos.

During the proceedings, Bobrisky admitted guilt to the initial four charges related to currency abuse. Prior to this, the EFCC’s representative, Suleiman Suleiman, requested the court to dismiss counts five and six concerning allegations of money laundering.

Responding to this, Justice Abimbola Awogboro upheld the request, thereby clearing the path for Bobrisky’s arraignment solely on the first four counts linked to currency misuse.

Upon the reading of the charges, Bobrisky acknowledged his understanding and directly admitted, “Yes, I am guilty.” This admission marked a pivotal moment in the legal proceedings.
