The period of transition of power in any political dispensation has been proven over the years to be critical moment, however, the Council Treasurer in Odi-Olowo LCDA Rufai Mujitaba Karounwi said the challenges of handing over of resources and documents will be smooth and seamless in their LCDA as a result of the symbotic relationship which harmonizes the incumbent Chairman and Chairman elect who is presently the Vice-chairman of the council.

Newsconnect reports that Mujitaba in an interview with Newsconnect correspondent in his office admitted activities of power transition in every political dispensation is usually an herculean task, however in Odi-Olowo, the transition team was able to leverage the relationship of the outgoing chairman and incoming chairman who worked closely in the last administration to deliver landmark projects for the people who elected them.

Mujitaba said the present administration has dwell so much on infrastructural development, execution of capital projects all over the local government, hence the incoming Chairman is meeting a very standard platform to hit the ground.

“These programs and projects by the present administration are geared towards enhacing the lives and welfare of our people within the community.

“Aside the capital projects, the administration has also put in place some welfare mechanism to ensure that the vulnerable ones, old people among us, the widow among us are well taking care of every months including their health insurance team.

“I think the incoming administration is meeting a very standard platform to hit the ground running in terms of capital projects, infrastructural development and in terms of welfare to the citizenry of Odi-olowo Ojuwoye LCDA.

“I enjoin all the citizens, the inhabitant, the residents of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye to know that the present government is doing all it can to give them the dividend of democracy, hence they should ensure that they continue to support the government so that more benefits would come to the people”. He said
