Beneficiaries of Jamb registration slip and Honourable Adewale Temitope Adedeji

Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji, OON, member representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has earned widespread commendation for his unwavering commitment to education in Ifako-Ijaiye, following the presentation of 1,750 free JAMB registration slips to indigent students within the constituency.

Dignitaries present at the presentation ceremony on Wednesday lauded the Adewale Temitope Adedeji Educational Initiative (ATA-EI) for its notable contributions to the education sector.

These include the award of over 120 scholarships, distribution of 5,850 free JAMB forms and over 1,100 GCE forms, provision of free tutorial classes, donation of tables and chairs to schools, and the distribution of essential school materials such as bags, writing pads, books, sandals, and other supplies to underprivileged students in the constituency.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Basic Education in Lagos State, Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, said Hon. Adewale Temitope’s consistent investment in education is commendable and reflects the kind of leadership the state needs—one that is people-oriented and focused on building a brighter future for the youth.

Dr. Kennedy Akudo, a Mathematics Lecturer at LASUED, commended the lawmaker for prioritising education while urging other elected representatives across the country to emulate such initiative.

The chairman, Lagos Chapter, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Engineer Ibrahim Adigub, said students across the entire state benefited from the free JAMB forms given by the lawmaker, thanking him for his continuous support for the youths.

Speaking, Hon Adewale Temitope emphasised the importance of education in transforming lives and building a more prosperous society. He noted that the gesture was part of his continuous effort to uplift the younger generation and ensure that no brilliant mind is left behind due to economic hardship.

“This intervention is born out of the understanding that many bright students are unable to further their education because of financial constraints. By easing this burden, we are not just giving out JAMB forms and scholarships, we are giving hope and a pathway to a brighter future,” he said.

He added that the initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which aims to ensure that all Nigerians, regardless of tribe or ethnicity, have access to opportunities that can transform their lives.
