At its maiden edition of technology advocacy campaign, COAPPT, a social impact tech organisation reiterated commitment towards bringing Prosperity to all businesses leveraging on the knowledge in the tech ecosystem.
Newsconnect reports that COAPPT is not a profit driven organisation, however it focuses more on impacting lives and people through the myriads of opportunities in technology in the 21st century.
The Co-founder and CEO of COAPPT solutions G.O Lawal in an interview with Newsconnect correspondence at the event harped on the importance of partnership with private sectors towards making inclusive impacts.
Lawal said the enthusiasm from people who are ready to be part of the conversation excites him.
“It is not common, we are not talking of Fintech, Agrotech, we are talking about social impact.
“While those of us working within the social impact space are trying to see that the society improves since we are not profit oriented, the private sector are there for profit but we feel they can also make impact.
“At COAPPT, there are some people we can’t work with no matter the amount of money you want to give to us. Our focus is to impact. Once what you do is not aligning with social impact, if whatever you are doing is not considering others, we can’t work for you. However, if you are working and the work will enrich many people, we can decide to work with you for free.
“We will keep advancing actions that would make us lead in the tech space. This is one of them and it won’t be one-off.
“Driving the conversation, seeing that everyone is aware the media is aware, the impact organisations are aware, we are already advancing one of the great action right here”. Lawal said.
Atinuke Odukoya from the Center for Women’s Health and Information CEWHIN who was one of the Panelists at the event told journalists that;
“A lot of issues around women, girls, that people don’t know because the information is not out there. The world has gone beyond getting doctors prescription, technology can help you get the information out there.
“Health issues that are specifically women related. The more Information people have about it, the better it is in the sense of prevention.
“Technology can also help you to have access to health care. At a tip of your finger. You can get information about where should I go for diagnostic. Which doctor is available for what kind of ailment, what can I do as first aid before getting to the hospital.
“A couple of years people did not know what was I supposed to do as first aid for heart attacks. Technology promotes edutainment which can be used effectively within the health sector”. She said
The Executive Vice-Chairman of Ikorodu Local government Princess Folashade Olabanji Oba in an interview with journalists at the event said having listened to all the messages from the Tech Summit, she is really wired up to say we are not where we need to be but we are not where we used to be either.

Huawei Sales person at the event talked about their future plans to empower students in universities, institutions with ICT set-up so they can maximise the opportunities inherent in the tech eco-system.
