As we celebrate this joyous occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, I extend my warmest greetings to you all. This sacred festival of sacrifice reminds us of the values of faith, unity, and selflessness—principles that bind us together as a community. It is also a time to be stronger in piety and compassion to family, friends and humanity, in general.
Eid-el-Kabir is also a time to reflect on our shared commitment to building a prosperous and harmonious Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA. It is a moment to show love, support one another, and strengthen the bonds that make our LCDA a beacon of progress. We also have to contribute our quota to making Nigeria the best country it can be.
As we congregate to mark this Eid-el-Kabir 2025, our hearts are heavy with a profound sense of loss. Celebrating this Eid without our revered and amiable Grand Chief Imam (Late Sheik Alhaji Dhikrullah Abdullahi Tanimose Andu), IBLCDA, whose guiding light, wisdom, and compassion touched the lives of so many in our community, leaves an ache in our souls. Yet, we rejoice because his legacy of love, unity, and faith continues to inspire us all. May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace.
As we celebrate this Ileya, let’s endeavour to spread love now and always. Let’s always make peace our watchword.
