…Seeks blessings, unity, and stakeholder collaboration ahead of LG polls

As part of efforts to deepen stakeholder engagement and reinforce community-driven leadership, the APA-MATH Campaign Organisation, led by APC Chairmanship candidate Hon.Ameen Olawale Ibrahim Apanishile and Vice Chairmanship candidate Hon.Mathew Aliu Adesanya, embarked on a series of strategic visits across Ikorodu North LCDA.

The campaign train began its tour at the Community Development Committee (CDC). The CDC Chairman, Prince Niran Ogunbanwo, warmly welcomed the Chairmanship, Vice Chairmanship and Councilorship candidates to the monthly CDC meeting. Community leaders engaged the candidates in robust discussions centered on infrastructure renewal, community security, and youth empowerment.

In his remarks, Hon.Apanishile reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to grassroots development and pledged an open-door policy that prioritizes local voices.

The delegation then visited the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), where the Christian community, led by Pastor Amos Kehinde Popoola, offered heartfelt prayers and counselled the candidates to lead with godly wisdom, equity, and compassion. The association presented a set of expectations to the incoming administration. Hon.Apanishile expressed gratitude for the spiritual backing and emphasized the role of faith-based organizations in driving moral and social transformation.

Next was a visit to the League of Imams under the auspices of the Ikorodu North Muslim Community (INMCO). Muslim clerics also prayed for the team’s success and advocated for unity, peace, and justice. The religious leaders offered their guidance and presented key demands to the candidates. In his response, Hon.Apanishile appreciated the show of support, underscoring the importance of religion in promoting harmony and progress. He assured them of his commitment to an all-inclusive government.

The train’s final stop was at the Justice Forum, a highly influential political group within the APC. Elders and stakeholders of the Forum stressed the need for visionary leadership at the grassroots level. They commended the inclusive and consultative nature of the APA-MATH campaign and assured the team of their backing in the upcoming elections.

The campaign team was enthusiastically received by large gatherings, with vibrant music provided by a live band and the energetic performance of the APA Babes.

The outreach activities reinforced the APA-MATH team’s firm belief that unity, community dialogue, and stakeholder collaboration form the foundation for sustainable development and responsive governance.

Also in attendance were the five ward party chairmen led by Mrs.Aderonke Omololu and Councilorship candidates: Babatunde Banjoko Oluwaseun, Riskat Ibrahim, Bose Benson, Seyi Onobajo, Idris Liasu and many others.
