As he commissioned the 42nd road in Oworonshoki since he assumed the position of Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe reiterated his commitment to providing more infrastructural development projects to his people in Kosofe.

Newsconnect reports that since 1980, Alabi Owoyemi, the commissioned road in Ward B Oworonshoki which accommodates the structure of the residential and Mosque building of Islamic Cleric Fadilat Sheikh Rabiu Adebayo alias ‘Babaloworo’ got a new look.

Our medium gathered that since former Lagos State Governor His excellency Alhaji Lateef Jakande partially did the drainage in 1980, nothing has been done to uplift the standard of the road until the recent intervention of Barrister Moyosore to reconstruct the 2 side drainages and the road.

In an interview with Journalists at the road commissioning, Ogunlewe said;

“This is my 42nd road am constructing in this local government. I have promised am going to continue to do more as much as i can. The most important thing is giving back to the community, and i will continue to do more.

“A lot of money was spent on this road as you can see. The two side drainages were reconstructed and also the road was also reconstructed. What matters most is that we leave room for maintenance so it can last for a very long time.

“We will keep doing more. It is all about infrastructural development, and that is what we have been doing.

“We’ve done roads that have never been constructed for over 40 years, we’ve done roads that have never been constructed before, we’ve done roads that were constructed in the days of Jakande.

“We will keep doing our best. We pray that God give us the strength to keep doing more for the people in the community”. He said

Babaloworo who cut the ribbon during the road commissioning on his street told journalists regarding the maintenance culture of the road that; “Government road is indestructible, the road was done with high quality which can’t be easily destroyed”

The CDA Chairman Awolowo Irekun Alabi Owoyemi, Mr Samuel Omowo in an interview with journalists said;

“This road has been since 1980. It is Jakande that did this drainage partially by that time. Now Mr Talk and do has make us laugh most especially my CDA. With the help of Papa, Shehu Robiu Adebayo, we have fixed this road.

“He promised that he will do this road and he did it. I give him kudos. We want him to improve on other roads. We have many roads in Ward B here. This is Oriile Oworo, the first ward .

“He has been doing it, we want him to continue. He has given us water, we want him to help us fix more roads”. He said .

Another resident of the commisioned road Mrs Tawakalitu Jimoh admited the road was in a terrible form before now.

“We encounter difficulties when plying the road. We thank Moyo, for fixing it for us. My advise is for those driving on the road to becareful and for water coagulation, we should sweep it off the road so it can last longer”.
