One thing is to make promise, while another thing is to have integrity to fulfill the promise. The residents in Ojota were extremely elated today as the Executive Chairman of Kosofe LG Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe wowed them with the construction and commissioning of their road which its terrible condition wasn’t fixed by previous administration for years.
Newsconnect reports that the beneficiaries of the three strategic road link in Ojota and Ifako reaffirmed the commitment of the Chairman towards delivering good governance.

The ceremonial opening of Lateef Dosumu Street, Ilawe Streethttp://Ilawe Street in Ifako, and Musa Adewokun Street in Ojota on Friday, 14th March 2025, marked another milestone in the Chairman’s ambitious development agenda for Kosofe.

The Chairman Ojota West CDA, Oluomo Jamiu Talabi at the commissioning told journalists that he is extremely happy with the road infrastructure project.

In his words, he said;
“Since the inception of Kosofe local government, this is the first time we are witnessing a thing like this in our CDA. I give all glory to God, and all the kudos to our chairman Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe.
“People call him talk and do. We have now confirmed he is a talk and do Chairman. The condition of the road was terrible. When we met with him, he told us ‘elofokonbale’ (Go and calm down), mase gobgbo e fun yi (I will fix all your demands).
“Of course he did the road, here we are today, enjoying it. Kudos to him. We appreciate him so much. We will continue to pray for him. I want to assure him in our prayers, we will always remember him”. Oluomo said.
Another resident in Ojota who is the Chairman of Ojota Progressive CDA which covers Musa Adewokun, Niyi Ogunlewe and Alake lane Adanlawo Tajudeen Prince in an interview with journalists at the commissioning further eulogised the Chairman’s interventions. He said ;
“We thank our Chairman, he has really tried for us . As oliver twist we want more. This community is going to be for him. So we expect him to do more for us. We appreciate him. We still need borehole, street lights. However, he has really tried”. He said.
The Chairman in an interview with journalists at his office after the commissioning reiterated his commitment to delivering infrastructural projects to the people of Kosofe in education , road networks, health etc. In his own words, he said;
“Government is about delivering promises that you have made while campaigning. What you saw today is what we promised the people of Kosofe local government.
“The two roads in Ifako is at Ilawe and Lateef Dosunmu street. It comprises of two culvets, four sides drainages and a long road. On the left side, Ibrahim Onosokun , 2 sides drainages was constructed. It is just to deliver infrastructural project for the people of Kosofe and that is what we are doing”.
Ogunlewe who also harped on the importance of the constructed roads to commercial activities in Kosofe, said;
“There are a lot of estates and you can also see that there are shops, shopping complex along that side of the road.
“For me it will increase revenue for the council, it will improve the business for the people that have shops”. He said.
Ogunlewe since inception as Kosofe LG Chairman has constructed over 40 roads, furnished Mosafejo primary school with proper classrooms and infrastructure. Partnered with private organisations promoting access to education and learning. Constructed primary health centers in Oworo through collaboration with private organisations among others.
