The Organiser of Mathematics competition for Secondary School Students in 2023 christened MATHEMA 1.0 has released the sum of three hundred thousand naira to Eminence College the school of the winner of the first prize.

Newsconnect reports that the Proprietor of Eminence college has confirmed the receipt of 300,000 naira while the school awaits the date of the N200,000 equivalent training promised by the same organisation.

Recall that this medium had reported in year 2023 that the first prize winner from Eminence college Ameerah Ibrahim didn’t get her N500,000 cash prize several months after the competition was held when other winners reportedly have received theirs.

Newsconnect approached the organisers of the Mathematics competition to unravel the cause of the delay, the reason second and third prize winners got theirs but first prize excluded.

Secoken Limited apologized for the delay in making the payment to the first prize winner and promised to make the payment as soon as the signatory to their account returns to the country.

The organisation sometimes in January 2024 informed our medium they have released 300,000 naira to the school while the training to the first prize winner worth N200,000 will be conducted as soon as possible. Secoken Limited told our medium to keep the school abreast the date they will kick-start the training.
