As part of efforts to create a conducive and secure work environment for council staff and to enhance revenue generation within Kosofe Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, conducted an inspection tour of Area Offices and Primary Health Centres across the council area today. The tour was carried out in the company of top council officials, including political officeholders and technocrats.

The primary objective of the inspection was to identify key areas for improvement in office settings to ensure effective service delivery, particularly for internally generated revenue, while also addressing the community’s healthcare needs through better healthcare initiatives.

At the Oworonshoki Area Office, the Area Officer, Mrs. Afolabi, guided the Executive Chairman on a tour of the premises to show essential areas requiring upgrades to enhance staff productivity and foster a conducive work environment as identified.

Similarly, the Chairman visited the Ogudu Area Office, where the Area Officer, Comrade Temitope Lawal, highlighted critical upgrades needed to optimize office operations and improve overall working conditions for staff.

The inspection concluded at the Oworonshoki Primary Health Centre, where Barr. Ogunlewe reviewed the facility and suggested necessary enhancements to improve its functionality and better serve the healthcare needs of the local community.

Following the inspection, Barr. Ogunlewe assured all staff and stakeholders that immediate action would be taken, with renovations and repairs scheduled to commence within the week. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for council staff, improving healthcare infrastructure and services while boosting the local government’s economic stance through enhanced revenue generation.

Part of the inspection tour were key officials of the Local Government including the Vice Chairman, Mr. Oluwole Sosanya; the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Fatai Gbadebo; members of the Executive Cabinet; the Council Manager, Mrs. Mosunmola Otaiku-Okoka; Management members; NULGE Executives; and Revenue Officers, among others.

This initiative underscores the Chairman’s dedication to staff welfare, operational efficiency, and the holistic development of Kosofe Local Government.
