Hon. Adewale Temitope Adewale, OON, member representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, has inaugurated the Women Wing and newly elected executive officers of the Ajumose Cooperative Society.
The event took place on Thursday, January 9, at the Unity Centre (Constituency Office), Elliot Bus Stop, Ifako-Ijaiye.
The Women Wing, established to champion the interests of female members, aims to enhance access to resources, provide skill development opportunities, and strengthen the cooperative’s impact within Lagos State.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Adewale Temitope commended the women for their dedication to the Ajumose Cooperative Society and encouraged them to continue uniting for the growth of the society, as well as the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifako-Ijaiye and beyond.
He emphasided the vital role women play in driving societal growth and pledged his unwavering support for the society. He also urged members to remain united and proactive in leveraging the cooperative’s platform for collective progress.
The coordinators of the Women Wing for the seven wards in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government were announced as follows:
- Ward A: Mrs. Bola Adekola
- Ward B: Mrs. Ilemokun Omotayo
- Ward C1: Mrs. Gonzalo Folashade
- Ward C2: Mrs. Bamidele Olaifa
- Ward D: Mrs. Fajimi Mary
- Ward E: Olori Shogunro Olasumbo
- Ward F: Alhaja Adebisi Sherifat
The affairs of the Women Wing will be overseen by Alhaja Sekinat Fetuga, the Woman Leader of the APC in Ifako-Ijaiye.
The group, which is the largest in Ifako-Ijaiye and, by extension, Lagos State, is both organised and funded by Hon. Adewale Temitope.
