The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro earlier today, Tuesday, 12th November, 2024, received, the pioneer Director, Centre for Peace and Security Studies ( CPSS ), Lagos State University ( LASU ), Professor Adewunmi Falode in his office in Alahusa, Ikeja.

The Director, CPSS, from the prestigious Lagos State University, Professor Adewunmi Falode, in his remark acknowledged, the need for personnel of the command, to further in their studies so that they can be able to effectively, carry out their duties for their service and the nation. He called on the Corps to collaborate with the great institution through the aforementioned centre as the program offers Post Graduate Diploma courses, Professional and Academic Master’s Degree, Professional Doctorate and Doctor of Philosophy ( PhD ).

The Director of CPSS also affirmed that the establishment of the centre is also in line with the vision of the Vice Chancellor of LASU, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji – Bello to expand knowledge, to different strata of the society including paramilitary and military officers and not limited, to any sets of persons.

The Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro vowed, to lead the campaign of ensuring that his personnel develop their capacity, through knowledge in order to deliver on their job effectively, without undermining the statutory mandates of the Corps.

“It is imperative to also note that the visit came at a very critical time in our dear nation, where security knowledge is more important now, than ever in a bid to stem the tide of many bedeviling security challenges in various communities in the state,” Keshinro said. He vowed, to promote security knowledge amongst the personnel of the command in the state .
