Newsconnect reports that this commitment was evidenced during the 2024 Lagos International Trade Fair which ended on 10th November 2024. The fair held at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.

Madam Judica Nagunwa, Acting High Commissioner of the United Republic Tanzania to Nigeria, represented by Edna Obinyan Sylvester, Economic Affairs Officer, stated that, the High Commission participates in International Trade Fairs as one of the key responsibilities relating to implementation of Economic Diplomacy.

During the trade fair Madam Judica stated that ‘We are here exhibiting Tanzania products, we have coffee, tea, spices, wine, leather products and so much more. We are looking forward to meeting with potential importers to see the possibility of importing these products from Tanzania. We are doing this as a way of implementing AfCFTA Protocols, which aim at facilitating trade within the African Continent. As African countries we need to be trading amongst ourselves, we have all what we need.

Furthermore, Madam Judica stated that “We are here to answer questions, to give you information about investment opportunities in Tanzania, Tourism opportunities and to guide you on how to go about applying for your visas and questions relating to tourism like what you can do while in Tanzania. These are the information we are bringing to you about Tanzania”.

Tanzania is a country in East Africa endowed with a lot of investment opportunities specifically in mining, agriculture, tourism, real estate, manufacturing, financial sector, blue economy etc.

Madam Judica ceased the opportunity to invite potential investors to look into possibility of investing in Tanzania, as the investment environment and legal regime is very friendly. Tanzania being position at Indian ocean, is the gate way to other eastern and central Africa countries, especially land locked countries.
