After so many hours of brainstorming with myself, i eventually came to the conclusion that women are the problems of themselves considering the inherent but abstract opportunities surrounding them.
Inspite of having large numbers of women by creation, global statistics have shown that women prefer to vote for men during election. This is why we have fewer Women in leadership positions in politics. Women sell out themselves during election, for different reasons.
For women to occupy leadership positions, they have to merit it. Women should know that to displace men as leaders, they need to have requisite skills, knowledge, proper value system and orientation . Leadership positions is not served ‘a la carte’.
Women frustrate the effort of few women fighting for affirmative action in politics. Just few women are in politics and for women to lead, they must support each other.
In the home front, some women have reduced themselves to a complete house wife. Since they become Mrs so so and so, they stopped building their Capacity. They feel they have arrived and cared less about community affairs .
There is a popular saying that, when you develop a woman, you have developed a nation. All the great men nationwide came through a woman. So why the disconnection if all men came through women and become great ?
Women should not feel relaxed and fulfilled just because they are married, have beautiful children and great spouses. They need do the extra, by building their capacity, partake in voluntary services to lead and build the nation which is the highest of fulfillments.
Any great man you can ever mention was raised by a woman directly or indirectly. For women to lead, they have to join politics not as singers but as leaders who will be part of critical decision making.
