Following his recent announcement of kick starting a Non-governmental Organisation (NGO), the content creator and controversial social media influencer, Martins Otse known as Very DarkMan revealed that the presidency has contacted him , regarding his latest initiative.
He made this claim in a recent video posted via his Instagram handle @verydarkblackman on Sunday, reaffirming that the purpose for this donations which is focused at employing good and qualified teachers that will enhance the educational background for children in Public Schools, will surely achieved.
He also outlined the current challenges these students are being faced with, which has negatively influenced their educational life
“All these public schools no get teachers again because everybody dey go where money dey, things are hard .Our educational sector is lacking, there is nothing fun again, most public schools have lost their social and curricular day activities to the private schools, that’s y many are leaving, even parent that can’t afford private schools”.
“These children needs young good teachers who they can look up to, teachers who will teach them current things like AI, tech, skill acquisition (especially for those struggling academically), games and sports for those that have passion and the skills and also creatr avenue to groom those talented in acting so that all these will guard them on the right path when they are through with secondary school) he added.
Within 24 hours of announcing his NGO, VeryDarkMan announced that donations have surpassed #21,600,000 and are increasing exponentially by the hour, sharing screenshot of the total amount accumulated.
He also expressed his utmost gratitude to the donor, highlighting that the major money contributed was from #1,000 below but the intentionality of their heart even in the little, got him emotional.
” Shout out to everyone that has supported so far , I was surprised when Most of the money wey come in na #500, #200, #300 , someone even sent me #75 , these people no too get but the generosity of their heart to give , thank you so much, Many of Una no really get but the love so far towards this NGO”
The Controversial Social Media Influencer while asserting Nigerians on the transparency and accountability on the financial expenses, noted that this will also serve as a medium to expose individuals hiding under the means of NGO to exploit the masses .
” No wonder all these celebrities dey hide under the umbrella of NGO, una go say make people contribute #10 million for something whereas una go spend #3million and keep the remaining #7million for pocket, exploiting people wey in their little way , go still give something..This is the time to start exposing you all and fishing out the bad ones, get ready, don’t play”
“Thank you so much guys, I promise to be transparent and give account of every penny spent as I promise that the purpose of this project , will be met” .
