A group of accomplished professionals and eminent individuals under the aegis of Ikorodu Division Human Resources Development Board (IDHRDB) is set to honour academic excellence and excellent service among public school scholars and teachers respectively.
The event tagged, Ikorodu Division Education Stakeholders’ Summit will feature a public lecture with the theme; “Family Structure, Child Socialization and Children Holistic Development”.
According to a retired Lagos State Head of Service and Chairman of the Summit planning Committee, Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe, the Summit lecture will be delivered by Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, a lecturer from the Department of Sociological Education Studies, Lagos State University of Education (LASUED).
Ogunlewe further disclosed that two eminent education personalities namely, Emeritus Prof Chief Kunle Ade Wahab, a retired Professor of Building Technology & Estate Management from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and Dame Adunola Benson, founder, Ikorodu High School and Adunola Benson Private School, Ikorodu would also be honoured with special recognition awards for their individual contributions to the development of education within Ikorodu Division.
The event, we gathered will be chaired by a retired Former Director National Airspace Management Agency, Dr Ganiyu Agbaje while Lagos State Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka is the Co-Chairman.
The epoch-making event which will also play host to Ikorodu Division Royal fathers and other important dignitaries will be held this Thursday, 10th October, 2024 at the Ikorodu Ultra-modern Town Hall, Ikorodu.
