Three yet – to – be identified persons who were involved in the murder of two elderly couples, Udo Jacob , 78 years old and his wife , Dorcas, 73 years old, have been arrested by the Abia State Police Command in the Bende Local Government Area of the state.
According to reports made by City Round, the elderly couple whom was brutally murdered in Etiti Ulo on Tuesday, were found lifeless in a pool of blood on Wednesday with some of their belongings stolen.
However the attention of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, representing Bende Federal Constituency, Benjamin Kalu ,was drawn to this tragic incident .
He rebuked the horrific act and demanded that the authorities thoroughly investigate and prosecute those responsible.
The state Public Relations Officer, Maureen Chinaka reported that the case is being actively investigated, and authorities have apprehended three suspects .
“Upon receiving the report, the crime scene was visited and corpses were deposited at the mortuary for autopsy. Three suspects were arrested in connection with the heinous crime and are currently under interrogation at the State Criminal Investigation Department Umuahia.”
The State Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa who voiced Concerns about this terrific incident, urged residents to remain calm.
He pledged to Unravel the mystery surrounding the murder case , ensuring swift and prompt justice.
