Hon. Nurat Olayinka-Zubair, Chairmanship aspirant in Olorunda LCDA come 2025 was hosted by Her Excellency – Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule alongside other women at the Lagos West Senatorial District Constituency Outreach.

The event which was held at the Students Arcade of the Lagos State University, LASU, Ojo Campus had participants from various local governments and LCDA including Badagry, Olorunda, Ojo amongst many others.

The Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District at the National House of Assembly Red Chamber, H.E Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule(Ph.D) appreciates all women for the roles they played before, during and after the election. She gave a brief of her stewardship since she assumed office, such as sponsoring of four (4) bills where 3 of the bills have been approved while the fourth bill is on second reading, training and women empowerment programs, distribution of fertilizers to constituents who are farmers, provision of free skill acquisition programs with the neccessary equipments to practice etc.

Senator Adebule advised women to partake in the activities that will benefit their future and that of their children. She further said women should improve themselves on education and be of good ambassadors in their various communities so that they would be able to fix into any position when the needs arise.

However, women’s political participation is a cornerstone of democratic government. When women are represented in decision-making bodies, it leads to more inclusive policies better outcomes for communities and a more equitable society.

In addition, she encouraged women to involve in politics and strive for positions but not at the detriment of others. While also encouraging women to engage in different training and capacity building programs in order to equip themselves with skills and knowledge needed to participate effectively in politics without forgetting mentorship programs and networking opportunities to support their careers.

Chief Mrs Arinola Ajose, the wife of the apex leader in Badagry Federation; Alhaja Kikelomo Ladipo, the female apex leader in Badagry Federation; the Chairpersons across the local governments in Badagry Division; Hon. Nurat Olayinka-Zubair, the All Progressive Congress Chairmanship Aspirant in Olorunda LCDA, etc were all present at the program.
